On Tuesday and Wednesday, 14 and 15 August, 16 first matches of the third qualifying round of UEFA Champions League took place. Dynamo Kyiv overcame Sarajevo Bosnia in away-match owing to the goal of Maksym Shatskykh, and Shakhtar Donetsk succumbed to Salzburg in Austria, having lost the penalty goal.
