On Tuesday, 3 July, the meeting of the President of Football Federation of Ukraine Grigoriy Surkis with the representatives of Spanish business circles and the cities to host the continental final in 2012 took place in the House of Football. The participants discussed the prospects of cooperation of Ukrainian regional elite and Spanish investors in the framework of EURO 2012.

Dear Mr. Ambassador!Dear colleagues and honorable guests! As a host of Ukrainian Football House, where we got together, I am telling you – we welcome you in our home! But nowadays we can fairly call the entire territory of our country a football house, which is getting ready for a grand sport event – EURO 2012. So you can kindly take my invitation in local as well as in global dimension. There is hardly a region, a city or a small town on Ukraine’s territory, the residents of which would not dream at least about a fragmentary participation in this ambitious project. As a local initiative is a tremendous resource for creative thinking and efficient realization of specific, intrinsic to certain territories, original business plans.
Believe me, dear friends, I am extremely proud that this is House of Football under the roof of which a new business page of close cooperation of representatives of Ukrainian regional elite and business circles of Spain is being originated. After the triumph in Cardiff I was very grateful to receive your congratulations, Dear Mr. Ambassador, and now with the same gratitude and trust I accept today your recommendations concerning the reputation of the members of Spanish delegation.
On my part, as a President of hosting association that carries the main burden of coordination work for EURO 2012 project, I can solemnly confirm the business reputation and plenipotentiary status of my compatriots who represent the bodies of local power involved in the project.
My mission, as a warrantor, consists also in lobbying the European approaches towards solving the questions of attracting foreign investments to realize a range of events in the framework of EURO2012.
I promise you, my friends, in the very near future to make every endeavor to implement a lucid and efficient system of using private finance funds in Ukraine. This issue is one of the urgent ones that our country obliged to fulfill. By the way, today at the meeting of Coordination Committee for EURO 2012 headed by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yuschenko, I will stress upon the necessity of awarding this problem a top priority.
In particular, we will discuss the initiative of Football Federation – to create a brand-new mechanism of functioning of state licensing system which we consider should be liberalized as much possible. The EURO 2012 investor will not get lost among innumerable offices in order to get a signature or a stamp from irresponsible clerks. We offer to bring all procedures of legalization to one package of documents. If, for instance, you get a right to invest in hotel building, you automatically get all legal documents for land as well. I hope the President and government will be eager to accept these suggestions.
