Towards EURO-2012


Last weekend in Lviv Football Federations of Ukraine and Poland representatives made an agreement about collaboration within the framework of preparation to the finale of continental championship. The first general project “Summer with radio: towards EURO-2012” – started on Sunday.
Leaders of the Ukrainian and Polish federations conducted business-lunch on Saturday and the result of it was signing of agreement about co-ordination of actions, in particular about the mutual informing in relation to measures which are carried out within the framework of preparation to EURO-2012. Commenting this event, the first FFU vice-president Sergiy Storozhenko marked: “It is already time to step back from euphoria caused by the victory in Cardiff and to turn our efforts in a practical plane. We must present the achievements of Ukraine and Poland to the public accountants of UEFA in the context of Euro-2012 up to 2010”.
Representatives of the Polish and Ukrainian sides marked that conducting of final part of continental championship is a wonderful chance for both countries to confirm the European image. And the first general project will be a concert promo-tour which will be hold in the cities of Ukraine and Poland which will host the matches of championship. Among the participants of concerts are such performers as Polish rockers “Perfect” and Ukrainian star Ruslana, the “German wave reports”.
By the way, on Monday, July 23, the Minister for Economy of Ukraine Anatoliy Kinakh will visit Poland where he will conduct negotiations with his Polish colleague Peter Vozhnyak. Among the questions which are planned to be discussed are trade and economic collaboration of countries, development of boundary and transport infrastructures, conducting of economic forum “Ukraine – land” and meeting of intergovernmental commissions, collaboration in industry of fuel and energy, in particular in relation to a project Odesa – Brody – Plotsk. It is also planned to sighn a memorandum “About creation of coalition of businessmen in support EURO-2012”.
